“Caviar on the cotton moss garden”, “The pattern of hairy dots covered with stripes smoky”, “Forest octopuses with hairy berries” and other materials that would make sense in post-physical virtual experiences of the future humans. Some of them look very physical, other materials become landscapes, enlarged pores, and surfaces of digital concepts revealed with neural text-to-image algorithms.

Set of 300 unique images made with text-to-image generation algorithm. The printed edition: 300 gsm², 10×15 cm. 2021—2022.

Context

Neuroscope in History

One of the first known Neuroscopes. In the photo on the right you can see a wooden cartridge with one of the first digital hallucinations on demand. The prompt was lost along with the diaries, however, we agree that this is the Salute Cloud. Often such “Neurophotographs” were given to loved ones, they were used to decorate homes and offices. It was considered good to have one or three such cards.
